Mr. X and the Ladies Tux - L.A. BoS @ Marvelous Events

Sexy... pure and simple and yes, from Marlene Dietrich to Madonna they have strutted womens' fashions that have been influenced by menswear.  Is there nothing  sexier than a woman in a tux! There are endless ways to make this black and white tux sexy or demure as you like...and the new exclusive  by L.A. BoS called Ladies Tux at  the March Marvelous event is a keeper. It is made for classic bodies and can easily be worn with mesh as well as I am wearing it.

Suffice it to say the plunging neckline of this tux complimented by the arched sleeves, high neckline and a white rose corsage is hawt!  I love the black and white abstract pattern on the jacket that gives it an updated trendy vibe. Ladies tux also comes with sexy lace up leggings.  And, what else is there to say about the  hip hugging leather bikini pants replete with studding except... wow!... Some do like it hot indeed!

Women have Yves Saint Laurent to thank for introducing the this liberating style. It was the fall of 1966 when YSL displayed Le Smoking, the first ever tuxedo style suit made for women. I name was derived from the British 19th c. men's smoking jackets, so called because of their silk lapels that were designed to repel ash from an after dinner cigar.

Marvelous Events is open for March and runs to the end of the month.  Needless to say they have tons of cool offerings...I love this jumpsuit made by Posh Pixels called the Bianca Harness Jumpsuit that is made for mesh bodies.

It is perfect attire for to conduct a search for sushi in!  I love the worn texture of the the jump suit that is artfully embellished with a cross cross of straps and buckles... the neckline plunges adding sex appeal...

And, then there is the questionable torn knees... why questionable you ask... well, because... all those naughty boys want to know HOW the knees became torn !  Go figure... I told them my usual response, "I never kiss and tell" - so there. Mr. X the sushi is up .... where are you!!!!

Mr. X.. & Rochelle --- it's late... Wicca's Wardrobe, Emo-tions and {CdB}

I told Mr. X that i love love love sleigh beds, I have three in RL so why not in SL.  This sleigh bed was offered at the Feb. Swank by {CdB} and it is called the Esme Sleigh Bed, I am sure it is available at the main shop.

It is an adult bed with all the bells and whistles so to speak and comes with a color changing hud for the sheets, bed spread and pillows.  Night stands and candles are also available. I added the gorgeous Sake Wine Set by Aphrodite at Heart Homes... it is beautiful, low prim and interactive... What better to model with a bedroom set than the *new* lingerie release by Wicca's Wardrobe... I rarely (never) do lingerie but Rochelle Lingerie  Set is so sexy and sporty I had to blog it.

 Wicca is always so clever ppp I love the color changing hud for maitreya, slink, omega bodies... it is beyond easy to use (always remember to clear your layers with your maitreya body).  Rochelle Lingerie  Set  comes with appliers only, you must have the body and yesh worth it -- I only wear Lara Maitreya.

Rochelle Lingerie  Set  has a lavish leather texture  that comes in  five colors delicious colors - red, black, blue, yellow.....  The hair is *new* from Emo-tions and is appropriately called  Before and After--- and is pure sin. It comes in a straight and a wind blown (come hither)  look... Mr. X is definitely in for a treat... don't  you think?  And  Wicca is so damn clever with all the detail... Mr. X I can feel you unlacing the sexy back of this bra top... oh la la  --- and, for god sake, please make sure your hands are warm... or is that my job?

A sleigh bed was born over 200 years ago - though its roots go back as far as the Greco-Roman period. A sleigh bed is derived from the Empire style, a neoclassical trend that was popular in France and the U.S. in the 1800s. One aspect of this trend is their  curved sweeping headboard and footboard that was inspired by ancient Roman and Greek divans.

Mr. X... come feel this luxe leather in my new sleigh bed... the bed is graceful yet dominate...and no, I am not talking about myself... am ?

What better way to spend a late winter afternoon than unwinding at a coffee shop..daydreams about parties... the kind that they tell stories about. The kind where someone is always getting pulled away to something better in a different wing.  The best kind of party where your version and my version and the truth just don't match!

Thinking of what to wear to this party, I explored the new March opening of Swank... the theme is Hollywood so expect lots of glamour this month... Mr. X likes that!  I found this retro mod take on a bubble dress by Glitter called Liz Cocktail Dress.

The sweetheart neckline with a fitted bodice and silk belt at the waist is so sexy!  I love the add on layered look of this skirt with it's gorgeous floral brocade pattern that hints at spring. The outer skirt has a delicate lace border that adds a touch of femininity to this dress.  Liz is available in five sizes for mesh bodies. It comes in tobacco, smoke, blush and heritage and mauve.

So Mr. X are you ready for a party... perhaps it won't be the fanciest... nor the most tawdry.  But, I can assure you that in this dress it will be the party that nobody ever forgets!

Bento Head Altamura and New Hair Jumo

This new Bento Head by Altamura called Monique has elegant strong lines, thick sexy eyebrows and lovely luscious lips!  The hud for the head gives you options for clean skin or freckles... and we all know how Mr. X loves those freckles!  Just  remember, order to wear and "see" a bento head, you must have the bento view... I just upgraded to that.., in order to try bento shapes and heads.

To wear the Monique package I advise you to get the Sofia shape  from Altamura - it is beautiful and has a skin hud to match the skin on the head. Monique comes with a hud for the bento head. I know it sounds confusing but it really isn't... because  Monique comes with easy to use 5 step directions and a very helpful staff. These are some of the make up variations....

Although you can wear this head with maitreya and slink bodies, it is advised to wear the Sofia Shape I am wearing the Monique Shape that comes with mesh head, the Monique eyebrows, the Monique Mesh Bento Head, the alpha head and total body and the Sofia mesh body headless (Sophia  sold separately).

The Monique head comes with a applier for make-up that offers four lip colors, four eye colors and two sets of lashes in addition to expressions. Of course the fun is blending the tones of the lips and eyes to match the skin and your outfits.  You can also change the proportions of the bento head which is part of the allure of these heads (if you know what your are doing!)... make sure you make a copy of the head and body before you start fooling around!

I have paired this head with Jumo's new hair called Alessandra... it has a sexy softness to this beautifully created bento head  that will catch every eye in the room...

Mr. X and the Fairy Godmother *NEW* !!SMD!!

I told Mr. X I believe in magic... don't you... you will after you see this new Fairy Godmother Gown my  !!SMD!! -- it is pure "faetastic"!  I admitted to Mr. X  last night that one of my fondest dreams was to become a Fairy Godmother...

I would love to be that mysterious woman that appears by magic usually to attend the birth or christening of an infant...a fairy godmother always comes uninvited to either bless or curse the child... I of course would only bless... while showing off my array of magical abilities...

It would be hard to leave as quietly as I arrived because this Fairy Godmother Gown is so intricate and lavish.  I love the bodice that is embellished with stars and ruffles... the bell shaped skirt has the most intricate texture... the sleeves are belled and so elegant and yes, look at those wings... and high collar they just glisten.... the Fairy Godmother gowns comes for standard bodies with an alpha plus it come for those that wear Slink and Maitreya (worn) mesh bodies making this easy to wear.

Mr. X and the Happy Hipster - Ghee @ Hipster Fair

Feeling outside of the mainstream?  Head to the hipster fair that is taking place through March 3 and pick up the fab items by Ghee that are offered there.  Mr. X and I were discussing Marcel Duchamp.. that famous hipster that entered a urinal signed "R. Mutt" into an exhibition in 1917.  Needless to say, it got rejected, but for $6 (the cost of submission), he went into the history books as the founder of conceptual art, and Andy Warhol took it from there!  To me, Duchamp and Warhol are the ultimate hipsters...even the druggie caterpillar agrees

I love the bar coded crop top that comes in a rainbow of colors and is made for all mesh bodies that includes the hippest colors of the spring season...just ask Alice!

The leggings have a subtle circle pattern that reminds me of what happens to rain when it hits the pavement. The leggings are also made for all mesh bodies and come in matching colors to go with the crop top.

The real winner here though are the combat boot lace up sneakers -- that coordinate with the leggings and crop top. You can choose from a variety of coordinating abstract patterns right down to the shoes with a cat on the toe... and yes, those are the ones I have opted to wear!  (I will have to ask Bea and Warm to put one of my cats on these shoes and to call them  The Tonkers!)

The final and perfect addition to this trendy outfit are the oversized iconic glasses.  As we all know, Hipsters love ironic eye wear -- especially plastic framed over sized speckled and colorful glasses. These come with a color changing hud again allowing you to coordinate  this colorful look.

Mr. X and Ch @ Swank plus Heart Homes Margarita Machine and new Jumo

I told Mr. X that it must be 5 p.m. somewhere and in SL --- that depends where in the world you are literally I suppose!  I have waited a bit to showcase the new splendid Margarita and Smoothie maker by Aphrodite @ Heart Homes... I think it is my fav thing yet (love that ouiji board though!).  And, I also love this flirty new dress @ Swank called Aspen by Ch's not to mention the sexy new hair by Jumo called Gisele that is perfect for this boho like look

Aphrodite @ Heart Homes  has made  a great addition for any home or beach party in SL -- a Margarita Machine... and believe me, it is fun!  Press a button and the drink starts to be made before your very eyes!!!!!! You have a choice of whether to make Smoothies or Margarita's.  If it is before 5 Mr. X suggests the banana smoothie... after 5 definitely the chocolate margarita!  You can attach the drink after it is made and when finished with it, the drink disappears like magic.  There is even a "cleanup" option that ensures you  don't leave drinks laying around melting in the SL sun!

A Margarita is a cocktail that is made from triple sec, tequila, and lime...the story goes that it was invented in 1938 by Carlos "Danny" Herrera at his restaurant Rancho La Gloria, located between Tijuana and Rosarito Mexico... and that it was created for a former Ziegfeld dancer - Marjorie King.  Another story has this iconic drink created in 1941 @ Hussong's Cafe in Mexico for Margarita Henkel and yet another  claims the Margarita was first mixed in Juarez, Mexico @ Tommy's Place in 1942.   Yanks think Dallas socialite, Margarita Sames invented it in 1948 when she made it for her friends in Acapulco and Tommy Hilton brought it back to his chain hotels.  Yes, a long history!

This Lace shift like dress is so light and breezy. I love the lace overlay and the lace around the hemline and sleeves that add a touch of feminine allure.  Aspen comes with a massive color changing hud that allows you to change the colors of this dress at the click of a button... the blues and pinks offered are really pretty, the yellows and greens are bright... and the orange red reminds me of a tropical sunset!  I love this dress with the new hair by Jumo which also offers a massive color changing hud for hair that is straight colors, with roots and even an ombre option.

When I think of a sweater dress I think of cozy and sexy at the same time... Mr. X loves the soft texture of cashmere under his fingertips...so when I saw Bo Peep by Sascha's Designs, a gorgeous sweater dress, I knew I had to have it.

Bo Peep has finely textured cables in the sweater and comes with  a peek a boo midriff crop top and a straight A-Line skirt.  Bo Peep is made for classic bodies in 5 sizes and comes with alphas. I was able to tweak my Maitreya Mesh body to wear this chic classic design perfectly.

Bo Peep comes in six pastel colors from white, pink and beige to blue, mauve and grey.  I love the fact that is comes with a color changing hud for the scarf.  Although I love all the colors this dress comes in, I was in a white mood today and mixed it with the beige scarf which is really more of a nice warm cream color.

Mr. X has invited me to his new chalet high in the mountains where the air is scented with pine and your breath crystalizes on the cold winter air....up here the stars seem brighter on the dark black winter sky... we are waiting for the Northern Lights to guide us home....that resplendent light show -- mother nature's fireworks...

Mr. X and Colette - *NEW* Jumo

Pick up the phone Mr. X and say something sweet to me... I am waiting... for you at a beautiful ballroom with my dancing shoes on! Please please tell me that you will join me !!  I am in the dancing mood because of the new gown called Colette created by Jumo... it is spectacular !  She had outdone herself this time!

Colette is made for slink, belleza and standard size bodies. I am wearing it with my Lara Maitreya body without any trouble...thank god for alpha's.  This svelte gown also has a very sexy bare back... that adds to its allure.

Colette comes with an amazing hud... it offers four different patterns in a  basic background color palette of peach, pink, purple, blue and yellow.  All counted, Colette has 20 different color choices for each of the four patterns.  My favorite is the bird pattern... it is just gorgeous.

Two of the patterns are more abstract and offer an artful blend of colors. There are two patterns that are more abstract; one reminds me of sequins and the one shown below is an artful abstract that reminds me of the great paintings by abstract expressionists of the mid 20th century.

The fourth pattern has an oriental vibe to it and is just lovely.  Each of the four color options is prettier than the next.  This is the "blue" version.

Colette's hud isn't done yet with its offerings as you can also choose to make this gown a solid color from black to red, teal to yellow and much more as there are a total of ten solid color offerings.  Colette also comes with two earrings... one is smaller than the other and creates a dramatic effect.
