The new exclusive at Swank by Jumo called Naomi is fabulous... although it is available in many colors, I choose Mr. X's favorite color... red or "fiesta" !  Wearing Naomi, I told Mr. X to get ready to dance the  Flamenco whose name is thought to be a derivative of fire or flame and in this gorgeous outfit you are sure to set the room on fire!

Naomi consists of pants with cascading ruffles that ripple and sway as you walk or dance. Sometimes these pants look like a exotic gown.  I love the detailed waistline and opulent belt with it's gold buckle that gives these pants extra dimension and allure.  The cascading ruffle dresses of flamenco dancers is based on a style of dress worn for the Sevillanas at the annual Feria in Seville.

The top is accented by gold chains in an lovely floral pattern of black and red.  The set also comes with drop earrings and a beautifully crafted necklace in an antique gold finish that makes a statement and completes this exotically exciting look.

Mr. X and the wave... Sascha Designs

A slow sensual Sunday afternoon. I see the ocean and the waves crashing against the shoreline... only to flow away to be born... yet again and return to embrace the shoreline passionately... renewed... hopeful and beautiful in  azure... just like the new gown by Sascha's Designs called Sascha Design's August Full Gown that is compatible with classic avatars and those with omega appliers.

Mr. X and Brussels - Swank Exclusive

The theme at August's Swank event is "around the world" and Luxe Paris does not disappoint with its' exclusive Brussels Gown. This is a tribute to Belgium, a country that  has made lace for  600 years.  Mr. X loves the long silk charcoal colored maxi skirt that flows as I walk. Mr. X & the Ouija Board - Aphrodite @Heart Homes & Indian Summer Hunt @ Ghee

The answers to my questions came fast and furious on this mysteriously fun ouija board called Macabre Soul  Ouija Sofa Set by Aphrodite @ Heart Homes.  Mr. X asked if this was a tool of the devil... a harmless game or a glimpse into a super powerful force of nature...  Even the name Ouija is cast in shadows and mystery... it is said that the creators of this first talking board asked the board itself what it wanted to be called and "Ouija" came through...when they asked what it meant... the board replied... Mr X - What's Your Punk @ Swank?

Punk started after WWII but really took off in the 70s and since then it has gone thru tons of twist, turns and modifications.  In the 70s the norm was long hair, so punk went short, in the 80s the looks became more masculine to ... in the late 80s glam punk burst on the scene... followed by pop punk and hardcore punk just to add a little more spice to the genre.

I told Mr. X that I find great solace in the garden... not just any garden... one that melts seamlessly into  the lush surrounding landscape -- an informal garden --- formal in its structure, cared for with joyful plantings created with the eye of an artist.... simply beautiful like this new exclusive gown offered by Modern Designs @ Swank called Petunia. I am wearing it in pink.

Petunia's originate in South America and are from the same family that includes tomatoes, chili peppers and tobacco!  The flower symbolizes anger and resentment especially when they are presented by someone with whom you have recently had a disagreement. They can also symbolize your desire to spend time with someone because you find their company soothing and peaceful.

 Pythagoras could be called the first known string theorist. Pythagoras, an excellent lyre player, figured out the first known string physics -- the harmonic relationship. He realized that vibrating lyre strings of equal tensions but different lengths would produce harmonious notes (i.e. middle C and high C) if the ratio of the lengths of the two strings were a whole number.  Pythagoras discovered this by looking and listening. Mr. X discovered this new dress @ swank called Prism Nala by Journey simply by looking!

Mr. X and the tale of the dragon - *new* BamPu Legacies and TWA Guardians of Mirkwood

Today we went in search of the dragon... Mr. X and I wandered through the mists of a magical forest the path was rough, strewn with rocks and tree branches...we knew it would be nightfall soon and hoped to meet the hermit of the ruins... that the oracle told us would guide us on our way.

The ruins were set amid the most whimsical trees whose leaves and branches curl and sway in a fanciful way.  Their scent is most mysterious and makes you want to sit beneath their majestic branches and fall into a deep enchanted sleep...Mr. X thinks fairies have made them and distilled a bit of fairy dust on their leaves..... I think he is right.   Which way to we turn I asked the guardian... who was holding the most beautiful golden scrolls that gleamed in the night.

I know what you seek said this mighty sentinel...what I want to know is why... we seek what the dragon holds... it is the gift of life... this is what the oracle told us... we seek the dragon with the iridescent blue wings... he told us to look for the broken wagon wheel... amid the mouldering ruins.

At last we found the dragon... the sentinel with his golden scrolls of knowledge helped us to find the precious egg that the dragon is guarding... the question remains if he will give it to the mistwalkers of Mirkwood...

Sometimes I am so old school that I am vintage... think 1920s vintage.  Mr. X and I think there is something so romantically elegant about vintage clothing  because it harkens back to the gilded age of the Great Gatsby. I remember the murky morning  when the dreaded Hyksos reached my beloved Kemit now known as Egypt and nearly destroyed it.  The Hyksos did bring some good things to Egypt... horses, the art of the chariot and new musical instruments... how I loved listening to the sound of the lute deep into the night as the fires burned low... and the darkness of the sky fell like 100,000 images of Horus...
