It seems that every year Mr. X and I have the same conversation about Halloween... I just love it!  And, on SL it is even more fun to dress up and decorate because designers imaginations here seem to be limitless in creativity.  Take October Bouvier from  October's 4Seasons ... her new skin Angelina is called "Milk" and, they say, it is always good for you... just like...well... milk!

And, then there are the amazingly fun items from Aphrodite at Heart Homes.... like this..... "Witches Candle Holder"  I am totally enthralled.....and as always, oh la la .... into temptation.....

Let them eat cake and Morphine Skins New Release @ Kings and Queens Fair

Let them eat cake...those are the words supposedly uttered by Queen Marie Antoinette during a famine that occurred in France during her brief and tragic reign.  There is no actual record that the Queen said these words and today I told Mr. X that this quote is more or less an invented anecdote -- he agreed!  

Speaking of Queens don't miss the Kings and Queens event - 50 designers on sim from Sept. 1-30 -- and don't miss the new dress by Morphine Skins called Beatrix that is fit for a Queen!  This was shot at Lea 18...Frankx Lefavre new build....it is out of this world.

Aphrodite for Heart Homes has been busy baking... cakes of course and who doesn't want a Dalek cake! If you are not in the know, Mr. X had to tell me all about Daleks, they are robotic looking cybernetic organisms that are the enemy of Dr. Who! Intensely xenophobic and bent on universal domination they are feared throughout the universe but make great cake!

Aphrodite has also made a Dr. Space wedding cake and I would use this to celebrate Dr. Who that crafty Time Lord that explores the universe in his Tardis, a sentient time traveling space ship that resembles a British police box!

Mr. X and the Garden Party - Heart Homes & Morphine Skins

There is nothing as refreshing as tea and cookies in a late summer garden that is fragrant with lavender and heirloom roses... red and yellow to symbolize love and joy... and that is what Mr. X is to me.... plus, I like cookies of all kinds!

For my garden party event I have decided to wear the fashionably  trendy boho style dress by Morphine Skins... there is something romantically carefree about this dress called Jade Long Dress Light making it perfect for a romantic tryst in the garden with Mr. X. Mr. X and the mermaid...Colabor88 & Heart Homes

I have looked long and hard for the perfect low prim -- only 7 Mermaid Bed... and finally I found it... at Colabor88 by Aphrodite at Heart Homes. The bed is embellished by sweet pink scallop shells and wonderful solo and cuddle poses perfect for you with or without fins. You can even light the shell with a pearl!  The bed is called "Pure Seashell."

In addition to the bed, Aphrodite for Heart Homes has also created a  three prim  - must have Octopus Lamp.  The cool thing about this is that it comes in four sizes - table, ground, garden and temple and it is a mere three prims I love the weathered texture on this lamp and I am delighted it comes in so many versions.

There is something so serene about swimming underwater... plus -- Mr. X loves chasing my tail and who can blame him... in this gorgeous mermaid outfit by Purplemoon.

And, to keep Mr. X happy,  he loves the chase,  I have gotten him the Poseidon Fishing Chair by Heart Homes. This colorful chair has singles, couples  and really fun fishing poses. This chair is whimsically painted with a fabulous seahorse motif.  This low prim chair is also available at Colaboro88.

And, yes, Mr. X... take my hand... and follow me deep down into the indigo sea.... we will leave all our cares behind.... and dance under the diamond dancing night.......let's drift in the sea --- together...... how can  you resist the call of a siren of the sea ?

Gone Fishin' with Mr. X... Aphrodite @ Heart Homes @ Colabor88

There is nothing quite as romantic as a soft summer breeze, the sound of the waves as it sighs into the arms of the shore only to flow away... to be renewed.  Mr. X on the other hand thinks fishing is romantic!

 Well I suppose there is something relaxing about trolling around with your line to catch the right "fish"!  With that in mind, I went to Colabor88 and found the Fishermans House by Heart Homes.This fabulously low primhouse comes with a rezzer as shown that makes set up a breeze.  This house is a classic fisherman's cottage with plenty of romance and details.

Take for example the fabulous pier perfect for dancing or... ok, fishing.... !  With all the detail of this deck and the realistic rustic textures it is hard to believe that it is only 5 prims!

The porch is great -- with classic weathered Adirondack Chairs delightfully painted with flowers (yes, I would do that!) and lots of bait and fishing poles that work.  The chairs are loaded with AOs for singles and couples... and just so much fun!  Maybe, Mr. X has a point -- fishing is ok!  Actually, there could be a fish on the end of your line...

The house comes fully decorated it is beyond cozy! The  shabby chic couch and chairs, a cozy woodstove (it crackles)  and loads of single and couples ao make this fun.  I love the way Heart Homes has brought the outside in with the details of the aquarium on the wall with moving fish and the net on the ceiling... replete  with starfish!

As for the bedroom... well all I want to do is "rock" that boat  (Mr. X tells me that  I rock the boat always... but not in the way all of you are thinking!!) . The bed is actually a boat... how much fun is that!  It looks out on an aquarium and has couples and singles poses... and artwork and unique port windows.

Ah, Mr. X.....  as always, I write and wait for  you.... but you know I am always your girl.... I have loving eyes.... for you..... sighs.  Ohh... look at the writing on the wall above the door to this house.....

Lakeside BBQ with Mr. X Aphrodite At Heart Homes and Fresh Styles

Summer heralds the season of BBQ and Mr. X tells me he is an expert at this.  So I got him a surprise...the new Lakeside Family BBQ Set by Aphrodite at Heart Homes that provides as always days of memorable fun.

There are controls for the BBQ. You can control the fire, lamps and clean up as well as open and close the hood of the BBQ and even pose.  The BBQ has poses for singles, couples and  kids.

There is loads of work to get ready for a BBQ... and the work counter allows you to spice the meat for example and chop the vegetables.  Mr. X often goes on and on about the importance of good sharp knives in the kitchen...and these are so he should be delighted !

There is even a sink where you can wash your hands under running water and a dishwasher ! I wish my RL BBQ had a built in dishwasher! Best of all there is a full menu of meats and fish you can put on the grill... and is sizzles when cooking!

The parasols open and close and the chairs offer a multitude of poses. Remember to click on the placemat to rezz the BBQed food... and bon appetit... now we get to see just how good a BBQ "Master Chef" Mr. X is!   (As an aside, I would never consider grilling in stillettos!!)

Celebrate the 4th of July in Style!

It is almost the 4th  of July and if you want to celebrate it in style... get the Summer Fun Beach Towel and Blanket by Aphrodite at Heart Homes.  Mr. X tells me to throw out the cellphone (it comes with beach towel and umbrella) and talk to him! Not that I babble on and on....
