Mr. X and the Skull & Crossbones femme couture @ Sneak Peek

Most people associate the skull and cross bones symbol with pirate lore and there is an interesting historical reason for this.  This symbol, its use and meanings  has a deeper origin with the Templars who had the largest fleet in the 13th century.  This  symbol was used on flags by the knights on their ships.  They were warriors and perhaps the first pirates of the middle ages.

Mr. X likes the esoteric lore and fascinating history of the Templars.  He told me that the skull and cross bones were used on Masonic graves and engraved on the hilts of ceremonial swords and embroidered on aprons or sashes worn by Master Masons.

With this symbol in mind, I was delighted to find a long asymmetrical flowing skirt with its pattern of skull and crossbones and the flowing white tunic top by femme couture as an exclusive at Sneak Peek.  I told Mr. X that the night is young and that I am ready to learn more about the rituals of initiation into the mysteries of the Templars....

Mr. X and Andromeda --Jumo @Sneak Peek

Mr. X have you seen the stars tonight... he said no.... TP please because I am a universe of stars that dazzle and entice in this new exclusive from Sneak Peek by Jumo called Andromeda.

The classic legend of Andromeda goes back to the time of the Greeks... I love the romanticism of this story that has been played out time and again over countless centuries. Most beautiful of the nereids, this nymph -daughter of Poseidon is chained to a rock as a sacrifice to the sea monster in order to punish his vain wife.

The good news of course is that Perseus set her free - much like a knight in shining armor .... and married her.  This tale has inspired many love affairs through the centuries.  Speaking of good news, Andromeda by Jumo comes loaded with a cluster of stars in the form of a necklace, bracelets and artistic star cage.

Mr. X On the Board Walk - MSS @ FAD

Lingering near the boardwalk on the water's edge... in the summer sun... I am thinking of gelato and snow cones... I watch herring gulls hover over fishermen and in the distance children splash each other at the water's edge.

A fab find at FAD that runs through July 28 is this new outfit by  MSS called Loletta Outfit Pink.  I love this midriff sleeveless blouse with its' asymmetric hemline and bold pastel stripes.  The matching cropped pants are perfect for a summer stroll as I wait for Mr. X.

Have you ever had the feeling that you are being...watched and perhaps admired?  Well I was... by Mr. X naturally and endearingly of course.

In my garden the only noises are the sounds of the sea and birds... the quiet of flowers that bloom and the beating of my heart in unison with Mr. X - my universe. Mr. X left me an extraordinary dress called Flutterby by !Lyrical B!zzare and shoes from Purple Moon called Titania that are exclusives at the one year anniversary event at The Instruments.

I told Mr. X that a life without flowers is  not a life worth living! Mr. X -- is the perfect blend of wit, style and charm (with a dash of naughtiness) and  always knows how to make me happy... most of the time!!   Just like this dress, it makes me happy!

Wearing Flutterby - I feel like a Chloris (later named Flora), the goddess of flowers --- the Nymph of Elysion... I frolic in my fruitful garden amid flowers in every hue, size and shape they  are caressed by soft breezes and fed by mountain spring water....and the shoes flow up my legs like a restless river.

Mr. X marvels at the head piece of this gown and says, it is like me.... when I speak, my lips spring roses... he is enchanted and mine. I am also wearing the new mesh lashes by October 4 Seasons called Undaunted. They come in 6 colors from natural and dark to pink and even iridescent... I have two words tin regard to them ---"get them"!

I love Flutterby's translucent panels interspersed with pretty petals that cascade and flow as I walk making this dress nostalgically updated.  As I wander deep into my garden... I vanish in a vaporous breeze...but the scent of my flowers lingers... and petals scatter like a carpet to the sun.

I told Mr. X he has to play it cool... he always does but sometimes the stress beats you down.  This is when it is time for  candles, a glass of wine and a backrub!  I love to pamper Mr. X... because he is just so damn considerate.

Speaking of cool, Rayne Couture has just released a romantic boho inspired outfit called La Boheme.  This uninhibited updated  loose flowing maxi skirt with its' vibrant paisley texture is the ultimate ode to boho chic of the 70s.  

Friends will rave about this stylish boho ensemble  that also comes in two versions - teal and purple as worn and  forest and red.

The swingy fringe top finishes off this carefree boho look with an allure that reminds me of Joni Mitchell and Ladies of the Canyon.

The down to earth chunky accessories, low slung sandals and my long flowing blonde (of course) hair completes the boho look.  Mr. X said Sita... let's color the hours and paint the canyon with love.

The Storm & Mr. X - Ghee @ The Instruments

Mr. X loves summer storms and bolts of lightening that light up the summer sky and, then there is thunder that  shakes his very being.... I asked him if he was talking about me... always diplomatic (coughs)  he said, " Sita - give me a break!"

I love summer storms --  I think they are romantic. The new exclusive gown created by Ghee is based on the goddess Mari and will create a tempest wherever you go.  Mr. X will not forget the storm Mari and I have dreamed up!
