A Dubrovnik Daydream GAW @ Swank

Walking along a shaded street, I’m transported to memories of exploring the ancient walled city of Dubrovnik—where baroque façades rise above limestone-paved lanes, and the shimmer of the Adriatic glows in the distance. Capped in warm terracotta tiles and protected by centuries-old fortifications, the city’s intimate, UNESCO-listed Old Town feels both timeless and impossibly cinematic.

This new outfit, Yade by GAW, captures that same sense of romance and drama. A delicate Belgian lace top meets the sculptural edge of a leather corset, while a voluminous balloon skirt brings movement, femininity, and just the right amount of statement-making flair. The invitation said Swank: Around the World Sales Event, but I didn’t realize I’d be traveling quite so far. It started with a single dress—SKBW’s irresistibly cute keyhole silhouette, swaying lightly as if it already knew every destination it would take me to. Nine motifs, each one a passport stamp waiting to happen. 

I slipped into Egypt first—where pyramids rose in sun-warmed patterns, timeless and steady. Then came Graffiti, bold and electric, echoing the rush of city nights and urban glam. India wrapped me in a dream of purple and pink mandalas, intricate and radiant, like celebration stitched into fabric. Jade softened everything—quiet, dewy, like summer meadows just waking at dawn. 

In Mexico, I found joy—bright florals dancing with every step. Nigeria followed, vivid and powerful, a pattern that felt alive with rhythm and story. Then I wandered through New York and Paris, where iconic details whispered of skyline silhouettes and café-lined streets, effortless and chic. But it was Pagoda that stopped me. Stupas at sunset, glowing gently—as if the whole world had exhaled into that one perfect moment. It wasn’t just a print; it was a feeling. And just like that, I was traveling.  And p.s. headed to Iceland....

Sascha's Designs -- Water Color Dream.....Lori

 The sanctuary breathed in quiet intervals—incense curling like whispered questions, bells lingering in the air even after silence reclaimed them. The gown—Sascha’s design—moved differently than fabric should. It didn’t drape; it bled. Petals of color spread across it as though painted moments ago and still deciding what they were becoming. A wash of indigo leaned into dusk-rose, then vanished into the suggestion of gold. When the rain touched it, the colors deepened, like memories soaked back into clarity.
