I remember riding the metro in a new Annastyle look called Syria—a daring little collection loaded with fun. And there you were. Waiting beneath the station clock, soaked at the edges, looking as if you had been swimming through apologies just to reach me. For a moment, neither of us spoke. I searched for the perfect words—words strong enough to hold everything that had splintered between us, gentle enough to ask whether you might change your mind.
