On a "romp" with Mr. X - New Wicca's Wardrobe & FAD exclusives

Rompers began as children's clothes which explains their similarity to overalls and jumpers.  They became the go play clothes of the 20th century and are hot and trending during the 21st century.

What I told Mr. X I liked about rompers is that they are versatile. They are just as easy to wear to the beach as they are to wear out... they are playful and give you a comfy feel.

There are lots of ways to wear a romper you can make it look preppy with a hat and bag, go boho with tribal accessories to add interest or go diva with metallic details like oversized sunglasses and wedge high sandals.

Neon & Mr. X - Ghee @ FAD

Neon... is this month's theme at FAD.  Neon has a fascinating history as a recurring fashion trend.  It was discovered in London in 1898 - the gases from the atmosphere were boiled producing neon.

I told Mr. X when I think of neon I think of Vegas with its huge, gaudy signs that attracted gamblers, dancers and mobsters to the strip. Mr. X On the Board Walk - MSS @ FAD

Lingering near the boardwalk on the water's edge... in the summer sun... I am thinking of gelato and snow cones... I watch herring gulls hover over fishermen and in the distance children splash each other at the water's edge.

A fab find at FAD that runs through July 28 is this new outfit by  MSS called Loletta Outfit Pink.  I love this midriff sleeveless blouse with its' asymmetric hemline and bold pastel stripes.  The matching cropped pants are perfect for a summer stroll as I wait for Mr. X.

Mr. X took me on an excursion to the House of the Tragic Poet, a typical 2nd century BC Roman House in Pompeii.

We marveled at the exquisite mosaic tile floors and lusty frescoes on the walls. We admired the vestibule floor that was decorated with a mosaic of a domesticated dog. Then we went on to FAD a new fashion venue.
