Off to the Races.. New Release by Sascha Designs

Mr. X  invited me to the Kentucky Derby... oh what a treat... and left me a box with a note... "this new 1950s inspired dress is so very chic and will look stunning on you...a classic for a classy gal"
Betty Black Polka Dot Dress
This dress reflects Christian Dior's soft rounded  "new Look" that took this decade by storm.  Betty  is a perfect example of 1950's elegance with a ballerina length hem and a cinched waist for a delicate,  feminine hourglass look.
Betty White  Polka Dot Dress
I love the flowing full circle skirt and cinch waist; they are  so sexy in a feminine way.  The form-fitting material clings perfectly to my "natural" curves and the gloves add the right touch of elegance.

As for the finishing touch, hats were still very popular in the early 1950s and became important to complete an outfit... and this hat does.
Betty- White Mix
Who do we admire most in this decade?  Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn come to mind immediately as style icons of this decade and beyond.
Betty Polka Mix Dress
Sipping on my Mint Julep made with bourbon of course-- after all, we are in Kentucky, with a dash of mint and sugar syrup; Mr. X and I enjoy the formal gardens before heading to "Millionaires Row" where we will wait to see which horse wins "The Run for the Roses"...then on to the Preakness and Belmont...
