Let them eat cake...those are the words supposedly uttered by Queen Marie Antoinette during a famine that occurred in France during her brief and tragic reign.  There is no actual record that the Queen said these words and today I told Mr. X that this quote is more or less an invented anecdote -- he agreed!  

Speaking of Queens don't miss the Kings and Queens event - 50 designers on sim from Sept. 1-30 -- and don't miss the new dress by Morphine Skins called Beatrix that is fit for a Queen!  This was shot at Lea 18...Frankx Lefavre new build....it is out of this world.

Aphrodite for Heart Homes has been busy baking... cakes of course and who doesn't want a Dalek cake! If you are not in the know, Mr. X had to tell me all about Daleks, they are robotic looking cybernetic organisms that are the enemy of Dr. Who! Intensely xenophobic and bent on universal domination they are feared throughout the universe but make great cake!

Aphrodite has also made a Dr. Space wedding cake and I would use this to celebrate Dr. Who that crafty Time Lord that explores the universe in his Tardis, a sentient time traveling space ship that resembles a British police box!  

This cake is musical and even comes in 8 delectable flavors. Your guests can touch any of these cakes pictured and get a slice of cake with a fork... there is enough cake to satisfy every sweet tooth on the grid!

Another version of the Dr. Space Cake has been whipped up for a Happy Rezz Day or Birthday Party! 

This cake is musical and comes in 8 delightful flavors replete with a festive Tardis space ship topper!

For all you mermaids out there, Aphrodite has made a delightful mermaid cake gaily decorated with fish and mermaids... your fin adorned friends can have a slice of cake that comes with a silver fork!

The Queen Roses birthday cake plays the traditional birthday song and even has an on off switch for the candles... so your guest of honor can actually blow them out!  Try clicking the base of the fountain to shut the water and sound on and off... this cake is truly fit for a Queen and so is the new dress called Beatrix Elegant by Morphine Skins.

Mr. X and the Garden Party - Heart Homes & Morphine Skins

There is nothing as refreshing as tea and cookies in a late summer garden that is fragrant with lavender and heirloom roses... red and yellow to symbolize love and joy... and that is what Mr. X is to me.... plus, I like cookies of all kinds!

For my garden party event I have decided to wear the fashionably  trendy boho style dress by Morphine Skins... there is something romantically carefree about this dress called Jade Long Dress Light making it perfect for a romantic tryst in the garden with Mr. X. I will entertain Mr. X with Aphrodite at Heart Homes - Summer Brunch Set ...it comes with male and female poses and allows you to dine together off a menu or read the newspaper.  It even comes with yellow and red rose plants, butterflies and loads of accessories.  Afterward, I shall invite a few good girlfriends over for some friendly gossip...... if you can believe that!

The Summer Summer Brunch Set has  tea and cookies, brunch platters, tea and deviled eggs  --- this is shot at Devils Island designed by Frankx Lefavre so this is appropriate -- feel free to visit and be on the lookout for his new build at LEA 18 -- out of this world literally!   There are  all manner of goodies to share with Mr. X as well as with good friends... you can dine; the offerings are soup and brunch and of course you can have a proper cuppa.  Sit and chat, unwind  and even read the newspaper -- hope these headlines are better than those in RL.

 I await for Mr. X to arrive.... the garden he made is so romantic.... I am sipping tea... and wondering what the tea leaves will tell us.... perhaps that this is pure joy... and that when we see each other I dissolve into his arms as clouds meld into the sunlight.

There will be an entire week of shows and events that includes:Cheerno, Gabriel, LIVGLAM, Gizza Creations, Lybra, Pure Poison, Rapture, WoW Skins, 69 Park Ave, and JUMO Fashion.

Siren Productions is giving a sneak peak at the Exclusive Limited Editions on the runway with a special show just for the ladies Saturday, Sept 6th, 2014 at 5pm and the Men on Saturday, Sept. 6th, 2014 as well just at 12pm.

There will be parties with all of the event sponsors including: AIM, SCALA, SL Live Radio, Siren Productions, BOSL, Cultured The Magazine, and Designing SL.

A gem of a dress!  I love colors and patterns of this simple mesh short shift dress called Yuki Fresh by Zeta Untemeyer, owner of WTB. The dress comes in orange and teal, green and hot pink. I paired the green dress with necklace and earrings called Sarah Azul (not at Fresh Style) by Zuri Rayna Jewelry.

Another offering by WTB called  Melissa Flowers Senape.  This has a 60's retro vibe with lots of flower power paired with a sexy boho styled midriff blouse and a short mini skirt.  Laura Flowers Inverse is the same style and  comes in and gray, black and white.

Late afternoon, when the sun hits the water at a slant, my mind wanders back to the first time I saw Mr. X -- eyes locked and I knew there was something extraordinary about him.

Hemlock and Mr. X - New Release Poet's Heart

Hemlock Windglimmer brings gentle breezes to change the weather... and can only be seen in the lazy afternoons of a warm summer's day... which is the time when Mr. X decided to go to the blackberry bushes...

Seems Mr. X was on the  hunt for the perfect berry bush ladened with ripe fruit...for his pie...  while looking for the berry bush he found a shimmering almost translucent fae.... with wings like gossamer silk... and big green eyes... reminding Mr. X of a frolic long ago in  flower strewn summer meadow.
