Mr. X and the little black dress - J&A - Yeliz, October 4 Seasons

This is one of the best silhouette dresses I have seen created by Yeliz called So Bad (it's so good!) that comes in a rich stretchy satin blend.  It is the perfect length and is beautifully proportioned. You will get "the look" you know the one I mean -- up and down... head to toe -- the moment you put on So Bad.  You know this of course, the dress is fabulous...and a perfect little black dress.  I have matched the dress Lavian&CO- By Sage shoes called Petra an exclusive at the J&A Expo.  There are several huds available, this is the animal print hud....I love it... you can change the sides, heels and toe with any of the 6 patterns offered giving you countless options.

The story of So Bad is its simple, perfectly composed, sensual design... that is elemental.  It's a look that has worked for film stars and models... debutantes and vamps for centuries, and it will work for you too. The plunging neckline evokes thoughts of sensual romps -- it's classy not slutty and definitely sophisticated.  The tight belt at the waist with a diamond buckle and the fit and slight flare that flows through and narrows at the hips creates an unforgettable silhouette that is hard to resist.

The perfect accessory for this dress is by So Bad by KL Couture and is called Sophia that is and exclusive at the  J&A Expo put together by Siren Productions.  I love the heavy gold chain necklace that drapes down my back that is accented to beautifully detailed tassels... makes the boys want to pull them.  The necklace is stunning and can be worn in so many ways, I personally love the contrast with black.

Another find at the J&A Expo are the opulent jewel encrusted earrings by Kunglers called Shanti. The earrings come in many gemstones making them perfect to mix and match.  They add a touch of the exotic to any look from sultry siren to  formal "princess".

Mr. X & Captivating Looks @ J&A and Jumo

The Jewelry and Accessories Show produced by Siren Productions is around the corner.  Mr. X and I can't wait to go exploring all the goodies to be found there from February 26- March 5.  I did have the opportunity to get a few items to show you, my choice to wet your appetite!

Captivating Looks is offering a great many quality and unique items at this event.  The orange Tensha beads caught my eye. They are Japanese beads that are handmade by applying elegant artwork to an acrylic bead.  The bead is then sealed and coated with more acrylic to protect it.  Gold or silver accents are the finishing touch to these stunning beads.  The set comes with earrings, a necklace and two bracelets.

Another find by Captivating Looks is the Beachcomber Set.  I like the unisex vibe of this necklace with its draping leather necklace, carved beads, shells and even a shark's tooth.  Wear it casually or formally for a hipper vibe with a gown or cocktail dress.

The beachcomber set comes with two wire bracelets laced with beads and shells, sweet shell earrings and this gorgeous necklace.

I have paired the Tensha beads and the Beachcomber set  with the *new* gown by Jumo called Rivoli in Apricot. I love how versatile all of Jumo's designs are and I liked the way the colors worked with these pieces by Captivating Looks.  I love Rivoli's swank midriff top that is perfect for showing off all kinds of  jewelry with or without the fur sleeves. Mr. X says the fur sleeve accents make a statement.  The abstract texture of Rivoli is stunning and the long wide skirt begs for a dance!

Reflections.  Mr. X told me not to confuse vanity with frivolity.... in other words vanity and looking and feeling good is important.  Wearing this striking new gown called Red Dream  by Baboom coupled with  Guiselle Blossom by October 4 Seasons (love love love this skin ) and the classic pearl necklace, bracelets and earrings that are an exclusive at the J&A Expo... by Secrets called Pearl Jewel Set -- I feel fabulous!

Fashion For Life Celebrates TEN Years Starting March 6

It's around the corner... and Mr. X and I are excited that the hard working Fashion For Life Committee has  announced the dates for Second Life's 10th Annual Clothing Fair benefiting Relay For Life of Second Life. This event has become a mainstay of the fashion community and  it is exciting to see this tradition  continue with a special 10th anniversary event. Fashion For Life will open its doors on March 6th 2016 and will run for 14 days, closing at 6pm SLT on March 20th.

The Fashion For Life event  began as a dream 10 years ago with 34 designers participating all with a special reason to fundraise for Relay For Life. Since that date, it has grown to over 180 Designers covering 10 sims and has raised close to 20 million Linden Dollars for Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society .  To celebrate this Special Event and Milestone, Amethyst Starostin and Nevar Lobo, the founders of the Clothing Fair in 2006, have returned to plan this amazing event.

This year is going to be a trip back in time and Celebrate the history of the Clothing Fair (Fashion for Life). Prepare to be immersed in 10 of the greatest sims built by some of Second Life's most talented builders. What is the Theme you ask ? Well it is --  " THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT"   I like the sound of that!

There will be fabulous designers,  Live Musicians and DJ's; and T1 Radio will be covering 24/ 7 throughout the fair.  But that is not all:   With over 150 designers, the event will also offer One of A kind Auctions and Fashion Shows; plus a Treasure Hunt, and a Photo Contest. Another highlight is the fabulous Elysium Cabaret Dance troupe that will be there to perform not one but two shows during the event.

Mr. X and the Debutante - J&A exclusive, Sonatta Morales and October

I told Mr. X that the headband that I found at the J&A Event created by BamPu Legacies called  the Great Gatsby Headdress led me down the vintage path once again... it is one of my favorite looks. There has not been a decade since the roaring twenties that has loved bling,  beads and fringe more than the 1920s.  Notorious for beaded headbands with feathers, flowers, and artistic motifs, the 1920's women knew how to dress up their short hairdo's.

The Great Gatsby Headdress, an exclusive at the the Jewelry and Accessories  Expo through March 6 is an elegant 1920's styled headband made of finely wrought gold and studded with pearls that embellish it. The headband is highlighted by a jewel encrusted flower on one side with long strings of beads that dangle in a most sensational way.  This is something that Daisy, from the great Gatsby wore to entice.

Gatsby's personality is nothing short of gorgeous...and Daisy is the sought after debutante -- a paragon of perfection... with an aura of charm, wealth and sophistication... This new beaded dress by Sonatta Morales called Lin... exemplifies this -- it is simply exquisite with it's lavish gold beaded pattern.

Lin's silk blend is made to move and breath with you in all the right ways... the beadwork and salmon pink is just  brilliant and historically accurate.  The hair is also the new version of Lulu by Sonatta that comes in 10 fabulous colors that add to the vintage look. And the skin is the soon to be released Catalina Lily by October 4 Seasons comes with 5 skin tones and one nature tone and works with all mesh bodies that I can think of!!

The shoes are another find by the fabulous Lavian & Co by Sage called Petra.  I will be wearing these shows a great deal!  They are amazing  not only because of their classic style, but also because of the huds offered that include: art print, fun print, metals print, animal prints and pantone.  I could not help but wear the metal print that includes copper, silver, deep silver gold.  Best of all you can color the front, toe cap, sides, spikes and heel  individually.  These are must have shoes.

J&A Opens Today - Son!a + Luxe Paris and October

London. I recall an evening with Mr. X...perched on top of Centre Point, 32 floors above the city; it has  a stunning 360 degree view. The lounge is sparse with views so spectacular it would be churlish to try to compete. Slow music. Beautiful couples dance.  The cocktails are made with real skill, we tried the inspired pairing of cucumber and absinthe in La Fontaine Flower.

 I am the new gown by Luxe Paris aptly called London.  I have paired London with exclusive new  jewelry by Son!a  that can be found at J&A Expo (2/26-3/6)  and a sneak peek of the new skin  by October 4 Seasons -- Catalina Lily  that will be available soon.

For me, London by Luxe Paris  has become one of my few  "go to" gowns  because  it is understatedly elegant, and so well made. London is perfect for any formal venue where elegant  gowns are de rigeur.  I love the top's strapless design made of  silk  jacquard brocade that is interwoven with  metallic thread in an intricate and sinuous pattern.   

The full length  skirt, made of  charmeuse silk  gathers at the waist and flares out  creating a flattering hourglass figure and is slightly flared at the hemline.  It is made of crepe backed silk satin that has a rich lush texture; it's lustrous shimmer cascades to the floor making it an instant classic.  I love the way it moves and changes with the light so will you - it's really amazing. 

Catalina Lily skin  by October 4 Seasons  soon to be released is sophisticated -- the tones are perfect and  it comes with 5 make -ups plus a natural option, it is  compatible with classic and mesh bodies and appliers and has tons of options.  I love the shape of the plump luscious lips--- full almost  pouty and oh so  kissable because they are naturally gorgeous.

Another offering by Son!a at the J&A  Expo is the Victorian styled  choker called Cabaret.   This  multi layered necklace is studded, jet  beads and an onyx gemstone is accented with  draping metal chains.  Cabaret  comes with matching filigree large drop earrings  and a spun silver bracelet set with a large onyx stone and filigree accents.  You can choose from silver or gold for the metal options  Cabaret is perfect for  the Victorian or Gothic enthusiast.

Mr. X and Miniel - Wicca's Wardrobe & Oct. 4

It was on the wind... rustling through the trees, wafting around the flowers... as the sun was dipping into the horizon... bleeding red and orange...at the edge --- so very far away... and yet, I knew...and a sense of impending doom settled over me.... I knew now that there was no going back.

I am not a princess of fine silks and jewels... my silk is my battle armour and my jewels are my chains, armbands and leg bands wrought of the finest electrum in the land and blessed by the high priest -- a magician that gave me a sacred icon to carry with me wherever my destiny took me. Maybe it will take me into your arms... and maybe not... only the gods know....

And,  yes, the gods are crazy..... The magician told me the magic resides deep within me... a hidden reservoir of strength and willpower... daring all to enter my space... like a true warrior queen... I dare you!

Mr. X, I know your heart lies deep in the forest... protected by sprites and nymphs, djinns and even your own wall of resolve... I   am  deep within ... a treasure to be glimpsed at...  a stolen  look ... the caress of  eyes... and then....
