When Gold Spills Across the Sky

I love to enter my SL home at sunset. It is the hour when all is good with the world— when gold spills softly across the sky and lingers there, like a blessing that doesn’t want to leave. The light moves slowly, tenderly, brushing the edges of rooftops and tracing warmth along the windows. The air feels hushed, expectant. Even the shadows seem gentle, stretching long and forgiving across the grass. And in that light, the sunflowers rise in radiant delight. Their petals open wide—bold, bright, unapologetic. They do not question the day that came before. They do not fear the night that will follow. They simply turn their faces toward the glow and receive it fully. Unafraid to try. 

I stand among them and feel something steady inside my chest—a quiet remembering. That each day asks something of us. That each morning is an invitation. That each sunset is proof we made it through. Like the sunflowers, we rise again and again. We stretch beyond yesterday’s doubts. We open despite the storms. Unafraid to try. In this hour, in my small corner of imagined peace, I feel it clearly: courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is as simple as showing up. As simple as turning toward the light. As simple as believing that tomorrow is worth meeting. Sunset reminds me. That even endings glow.
