The Long History of Polka Dots - Lavinia Gown by Jumo @ Swank

Centuries ago polka dots were a symbol of the plague until the 19th-century craze for the polka dance changed their status permanently for the better. Polka Dots first appeared in the context of fashion in the 1840's. They were especially visible in bow ties and kerchiefs. Fast forward to 1926 when Miss America wore a polka dot bathing suit and, just two years later Walt Disney introduced Minnie Mouse wearing a red polka dot dress.  Speaking of red and white polka dots, this new gown called Lavinia Gown by Jumo at Swank is just lovely.

I love the sexy low V neckline and the feminine sash at my waistline - it is sweet as sugar!  The gown is so beautifully made and even has a lace ruffle around the hemline of this elegantly "Swank" gown!  This gown comes with a massive color changing hud as all of Jumo's creations do and is made for mesh bodies. Jumo is back after a bit of a vacation and how I have missed her elegant sense of style, her beautiful gowns, and elegant textures... and, this new gown, called Saskia that is an exclusive @ the Sense event is a must-have!

Saskia has a low cut v neck and an elegant sash that drapes in a sexy bow at the waist... the bodice is flowing and flowered and reminds me of watercolor painting on silk... think Monet with on steroids... of course, like all of Jumo's gowns, there are so many colors and textures to choose from and this gown offers 23.  It also comes with these fabulous earrings.
